Help the Prairie Village Arts Council "Pave the Patio"

The Prairie Village Community Center on the Municipal Campus is a popular meeting place for both individuals and groups. Recent renovations to the Community Center included a brick patio. But just plain bricks make for a boring patio. So the Prairie Village Arts Council came up with an idea... replace the plain bricks with engraved ones containing names of individuals and organizations which are a part of the community.

Paving the Community Center patio is a fundraising project for the Prairie Village Arts Council. Funds raised through selling the engraved bricks will be used to offset the costs of engraving the bricks, installing them in the patio, and enhancing and expanding arts programs in the community. Through the Pave the Patio Project, residents, businesses, civic organizations, and others can purchase engraved bricks to replace the plain ones. Brick prices begin at $35 for individuals and $100 for corporate donors. A portion of the cost will be tax deductible.

New bricks are installed each summer, and the project will continue as long as there is room in the patio. Once the bricks are installed, the City will perform routine maintenance on the patio, but will not repair or replace engraved bricks if they are damaged through normal wear and tear.
